On behalf of the men and women of the Brenham Police Department, I would like to welcome

you to our website.  We hope that you will find our department to be a progressive and

community-oriented agency.

 While many departments strive to define and implement community based policing, the

philosophy has come naturally to our organization. Our officers value community partnerships

and trust based on integrity, loyalty, and honor. We know that real community support is based

upon these pillars, and that without community support, a law enforcement agency is ineffective,

at the least.

 The Brenham Police Department has many resources, but the ones that are valued most are

our community volunteers. Through our Citizen’s Police Academy and Citizen’s On Patrol Programs, we have enlisted the tireless

support of local residents who really make a difference in their community. We all owe them a great deal of thanks and respect.

 Although I have been Chief of Police in Brenham a short time, I have been very impressed with the dedication of the department's men

and women to the community and its visitors. They are great examples of the type of people who have made Brenham a great place to

call home.
