Anti-Drinking and Driving ProgramText Box: The Brenham Police Department has set a standard in our community to be proactive and take positive approaches in dealing with many law enforcement issues. Alcohol and the youthful driver can become costly formula. We are aware that a proactive, educational approach is a strong factor in reducing the number of automobile collisions involving minors, the number of personal injuries caused by driving under the influence of alcohol and saving lives. Through a six hour voluntary course of instruction, the department presents a full curriculum of information to students regarding the use of alcohol, drugs and the effects they have on the human body and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
